Beverage Trade Network has created a wine competition that goes beyond wine. It attempts to find stellar wines that not only taste marvelous, but at the same time add true business value to the wine industry. Since judges are top buyers from leading brands of the industry, they understand consumer behaviuor. Hence, the participants can weigh themselves on the scale of a consumer-centric wine market and analyse how consumer-ready their wine is. “Renée” (fortified white wine) and Vranać ( still red wine) winning a competition of such an esteemed stature is a statement in itself.
